This is the counter for travelers arriving on or departing from international flights. If you’ve just landed from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, or any other international destination, this is where you start.
You can drop your bags here on arrival, jump in a Grab car to your hotel or straight to the beach, and have your luggage delivered to your accommodation later in the day. Or, on your last day, drop them here before exploring – and collect them at the airport when your flight is ready.
Phuket Airport – Domestic Terminal (Door 1)
Location: 1st Floor, Door 1, 222 Mai Khao, Thalang District, Phuket 83110
Hours: 6:00 AM – Midnight, daily
The domestic counter covers flights from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and other Thai cities. If you’re doing a Bangkok-Phuket leg of a longer trip, this is where you can send your bags ahead or pick them up when you land.
Both counters offer the same services: luggage storage by the day and week, in-town delivery across Phuket island, and nationwide delivery to and from Bangkok.
Phuket In-Town Luggage Delivery: How It Works
Phuket in-town luggage delivery covers the Mueang Phuket district and Phuket island broadly. This means your bags can move between the airport, your hotel, a beach resort, a golf course, or any address on the island – without you carrying them.

How to Book
Book online at airportels.asia at least 3 hours before the cut-off time. You’ll select your pick-up point, drop-off point, and preferred time window. A staff member checks your bag for prohibited items at the counter before it goes out.
You get free 24-hour storage from cut-off time while your bag is in transit.
Cut-Off Times for Phuket In-Town Delivery
Two delivery rounds run each day. Here’s when to drop off depending on your route:
- Airport to Hotel / Home: Drop off before 12:00 PM for delivery from 4:00 PM onwards, or before 4:00 PM for delivery from 8:00 PM onwards.
- Hotel / Home to Airport: Drop off before 8:00 AM for delivery from 1:00 PM onwards, or before 12:00 PM for delivery from 5:00 PM onwards.
- Hotel / Home to Hotel / Home: Drop off before 8:00 AM for delivery from 4:00 PM onwards, or before 12:00 PM for delivery from 8:00 PM onwards.

Arriving Early – Hotel Not Ready Until 2pm
You land at 9am at the International Terminal. Your hotel in Patong won’t have your room ready until early afternoon. Instead of sitting in the lobby or paying for an early check-in, drop your bags at the AIRPORTELs counter at Door 2, book delivery to your hotel for the afternoon slot, and head straight to Kata Beach or Old Phuket Town. Your bags are waiting in your room when you arrive.
Last Day – Checkout at Noon, Flight at 10pm
Classic Phuket situation. You check out, but your evening flight gives you ten hours to fill. Drop your bags at AIRPORTELs, request delivery back to the Domestic Terminal before your departure cut-off time, and spend the rest of your day at leisure. No storage locker hunting. No sitting at the airport for hours.
Island Hopping – Heading to Phi Phi or Krabi the Next Day
You want to spend a night on Koh Phi Phi but don’t want to take a full suitcase on the ferry. Leave the non-essentials in storage at Phuket Airport, take what you need for one night, and collect your main bags when you return. Storage is charged per piece and available in three durations. For normal luggage, it’s 150 THB per day, 750 THB per week, or 3,000 THB per month. Golf bags and special luggage are 200 THB per day, 1,000 THB per week, or 4,000 THB per month. Walk-in customers can also use an hourly rate, available only at the counter and not bookable online.
Storage makes sense for day-trippers – people who fly into Phuket, spend the day exploring, and fly out the same evening. Drop bags at the airport, explore Old Phuket Town or Rawai, collect on the way back to the terminal.
What You Cannot Store or Ship
A few items cannot be accepted, whether for storage or delivery:
- Batteries and flammable materials
- Liquids and aerosols
- Prohibited items under Thai law
- High-value collectibles or fragile artworks
- Anything over 25kg per piece (normal luggage) or over 30kg (special luggage)

Phuket Itinerary: What to Do With Your Hands-Free Day
Once you’re not thinking about bags, Phuket opens up. A few ideas depending on where you drop off:
From the International Terminal (north of the island): Head to Mai Khao Beach for the morning – long, quiet, almost no tourists. Then make your way down to Old Phuket Town for lunch in a Sino-Portuguese shophouse café. Browse Thalang Road before your hotel check-in time arrives.
From Patong / Jungceylon: Take a songthaew or Grab to Kata Noi or Karon Beach – calmer waters, fewer crowds, easier without bags in tow. Afternoon: Windmill Viewpoint for the sunset.

How to Get to AIRPORTELs at Phuket Airport
Phuket Airport is located in the north of the island in Thalang District. Both terminals are on the same airport grounds.
- International Terminal (Door 2): Follow signs to the arrivals level, 1st floor. AIRPORTELs is at Door 2.
- Domestic Terminal (Door 1): Arrivals level, 1st floor, Door 1.
From Patong, the airport is approximately 40-50 minutes by Grab car. From Phuket Town, around 30 minutes. There is no direct public bus from the airport to most tourist areas, so Grab or shared minivan are the practical options.
