Yes – Don Mueang Airport has staffed luggage storage. The AIRPORTELs counter is in Terminal 2, 1st Floor, Gate 9, open 24 hours every day. Storage costs ฿100 per bag per day, any size, and every bag is x-ray screened, tagged, photo-logged and insured up to ฿50,000.
That flat rate is the entire price list for a normal bag: no size tiers, no per-hour arithmetic at 2 a.m. Here is exactly where the counter sits, how to reach it from either terminal’s arrivals hall, what happens to your bag once it disappears behind the desk, and what your honest alternatives are.

Where exactly is the luggage storage counter at Don Mueang Airport?
The counter is at Gate 9 on the 1st floor of Terminal 2. One thing worth knowing before you go looking: at Don Mueang, the numbered “gates” on the ground floor are the entrance doors along the front of the building, not boarding gates. So Gate 9 means the ninth door of Terminal 2, on the arrivals level.
Don Mueang splits its traffic by terminal: Terminal 1 handles international flights, Terminal 2 handles domestic. Our counter sits on the domestic side, but it serves both – the two buildings are linked by a walkway. We have run staffed luggage counters in Thailand since 2015, and Don Mueang is one of two Bangkok airports where our desk never closes.

How do I find the counter from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 arrivals?
- Landing at Terminal 2 (domestic flights): you are already in the right building. Domestic arrivals put you out on the 1st floor – the same level as the counter. Turn along the terminal front and follow the door numbers to Gate 9.
- Landing at Terminal 1 (international flights): after customs, follow the signs for Terminal 2. A walkway on the 1st floor links the two terminals. Or take the airport shuttle bus that AOT runs between them from 06:00 to 22:00, every 20 minutes, from Terminal 1 Gate 3 to Terminal 2 Gate 14 – both on the 1st floor (as of October 2026). Once in Terminal 2, make your way to the 1st floor and walk to Gate 9.

How much does luggage storage cost at Don Mueang?
Pricing is flat per bag, per day – the same for a cabin bag as for a 30 kg suitcase (as of July 2026):
| Duration | Price per bag |
|---|---|
| 1 day | ฿100 |
| 5-7 days | ฿500 |
| 30 days | ฿2,000 |
Golf bags, sports equipment and other oversize items are accepted too; special-item rates are quoted at the counter or when you book online. And an honest note: if you only need to cover an hour or two and you are staying inside the terminal anyway, keeping your trolley with you costs nothing. The counter earns its fee the moment you want to leave the airport with your hands free.
What happens to my bag after I drop it off?
Every bag goes through the same four steps before it leaves your sight: it is x-ray screened, tagged, photo-logged and insured up to ฿50,000 per booking. The photo log matters more than it sounds – it records the condition of your bag at drop-off, so there is no argument later about a scratch or a missing strap.
Bags then go into proper dedicated storage – spacious enough to hold up to 2,000 bags – not just onto a shelf behind the desk. To collect, present your tag and receipt at the same counter, at any hour.
Can I use the counter overnight for a red-eye flight?
This is the counter’s real specialty. Don Mueang is Bangkok’s budget-carrier base – Thai AirAsia, Nok Air and Thai Lion Air fly the bulk of its schedule – and budget schedules mean 6 a.m. departures and post-midnight arrivals. Because the desk is staffed 24 hours, the timing of a cheap flight never locks you out: drop your bags at 11 p.m. and reclaim them at 4 a.m. before an early departure, or land at 1 a.m., store everything, and head into the city carrying nothing.
The classic case is the checkout gap: hotel checkout at noon, flight from Don Mueang near midnight. Store the bags for ฿100 each, spend the afternoon anywhere but a lobby sofa, and collect on your way to check-in.
Can I drop bags at DMK and get them back somewhere else?
Yes – and this is where a staffed network beats any locker. AIRPORTELs runs 20 counters across Thailand: Bangkok malls such as MBK Center, CentralWorld, Terminal 21 Asok, ICONSIAM and EMSPHERE (mall counters typically open 10:00-22:00), plus airport counters at Suvarnabhumi, Chiang Mai, Phuket and a branch in Pattaya. The full city map, with every counter’s floor and hours, lives in our guide to luggage storage in Bangkok.
If you would rather not come back to the airport at all, use luggage delivery in Bangkok instead: drop your bags at the Gate 9 counter and have them delivered the same day to your hotel, condo or another counter – from ฿299 per bag up to 25 kg for daytime drop-offs (golf bags from ฿399, oversize items from ฿599; the exact same-day cutoff is shown at booking). Heading onward, we forward luggage nationwide – Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin or Samui – within 5 days.
Flying out of Suvarnabhumi instead? Same system, same ฿100 flat rate: our Suvarnabhumi Airport luggage storage counter is on the B Floor in the Airport Rail Link zone, also open 24 hours.

Are there other luggage storage options at Don Mueang?
Yes, and it is worth saying so plainly. Other operators also offer luggage storage at Don Mueang, Bellugg among them. Published sources disagree on where their counters are, and their rates differ from ours, so check the operator’s own listing before you rely on it. If you only need storage for a short stop, a counter in the terminal you are already in may be the shorter walk. App-based storage platforms also list drop-off points around Bangkok, but these are typically partner shops in the city rather than counters inside the airport.
We keep a side-by-side comparison of every operator at both Bangkok airports – rates, counter locations and honest verdicts – in our guide to luggage storage at Bangkok’s airports.
