Luggage storage at Suvarnabhumi Airport costs ฿100 per bag per day — any size — at the AIRPORTELs counter on B Floor of the main terminal, inside the Airport Rail Link zone. The counter is staffed 24 hours a day, and every bag is x-ray screened, tagged, photographed, and insured up to ฿50,000 per booking (as of July 2026).

That one address decides what kind of day you have in Bangkok. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia, and its arrivals hall sits directly above the train that most travelers take into the city. Drop your bag one floor below the hall and you board that train with your hands free. Here is exactly how to do it.

Luggage storage at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) — AIRPORTELs 24-hour counter guide

Where is the luggage storage counter at Suvarnabhumi Airport?

The AIRPORTELs counter is on B Floor of the main passenger terminal, in the Airport Rail Link zone — the basement level where the city trains depart. It is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, which matters at BKK more than at most airports: long-haul flights land here all night, well after the last train and long after mall storage rooms in the city have closed.

We are not the only operator in the building, and you should know that before you commit: Bellugg runs counters on the departures and arrivals levels, and SmileLugg also stores bags on B Floor. If you want every provider’s rates and locations side by side with an honest verdict, see our comparison of luggage storage at Bangkok’s airports.

How do I find the counter from arrivals?

From the moment you clear customs, it takes only a few minutes:

  1. Exit into the arrivals hall on Level 2. Every arriving passenger ends up here — even if your flight parks at the SAT-1 satellite building, the airport’s internal shuttle train brings you to the main terminal before immigration and baggage claim.
  2. Follow the “Airport Rail Link” signs. They point you toward the trains to the city, which is exactly where you are going.
  3. Take any escalator or lift down to B Floor. Arrivals is Level 2; the trains are two levels down in the basement.
  4. Walk into the Airport Rail Link zone. The AIRPORTELs counter is inside the zone — drop your bag, keep your receipt, board your train.

This is the part we planned deliberately: the counter sits on the same floor as the train you were taking anyway, so storing a bag adds minutes, not a detour. And the geography works after hours too — city trains run from roughly 05:30 to midnight (as of July 2026), but our counter does not keep train hours. Land at 02:00 and you can still drop a bag and take a taxi into town unburdened.

What happens when I drop off my bag?

This is a staffed counter, not a bank of lockers — a model we have run since 2015. At drop-off, every bag goes through the same four steps:

  • X-ray screening, the same principle as airport security — which is also why we cannot accept fireworks, weapons, drugs, food, animals, or any living thing.
  • Tagging with a unique ID matched to your receipt.
  • Photo logging, so its condition at drop-off is on record.
  • Insurance up to ฿50,000 per booking while it is in our care.

Collection is the reverse: show your receipt, get your bag. Two practical rules — if you are collecting before a flight, pick up at least 2 hours before departure; and if your plans change, let the counter know at least 4 hours ahead.

How much does luggage storage at BKK cost?

Pricing is flat by the day — no size categories for standard luggage, no per-hour meter to watch (as of July 2026):

DurationStandard luggage (any size)Special & oversize items
1 day฿100 per bag฿200 per item
5–7 days฿500 per bag฿1,000 per item
30 days฿2,000 per bag฿4,000 per item

An honest note before you pay anyone: if you are returning to the same hotel, its luggage room is usually free for guests, and that is the better deal. Airport storage earns its ฿100 when your route does not loop back — you land at BKK but fly out of Don Mueang, you face a midnight flight after an 11:00 checkout, or you are on a long layover and want a few hours in the city without a suitcase.

Can I drop my bag at BKK and collect it somewhere else?

Yes — and this is where a 20-branch network beats any locker. AIRPORTELs runs staffed counters across Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Pattaya, connected by a delivery fleet, so your bag does not have to stay where you left it.

  • Airport to hotel: drop at the BKK counter in the morning and your bag reaches any Bangkok hotel the same day, from ฿299 per bag up to 25 kg for daytime drop-offs (the exact cutoff is shown at booking). Golf bags from ฿399, oversize items from ฿599.
  • City to airport: reverse it — leave luggage at a downtown counter such as MBK Center (6th Floor, Zone B), Terminal 21 Asok (1st Floor), CentralWorld, or ICONSIAM — mall counters are typically open 10:00–22:00 — and have it meet you at Suvarnabhumi for your flight.
  • Onward across Thailand: we also forward luggage between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, Hua Hin, and Samui, nationwide within 5 days, priced at booking.
