Understanding Prohibited Items and Hazardous Materials

Prohibited Items in Carry-On Luggage

1. Sharp Objects

2. Firearms and Ammunition

However, passengers need to notify their purpose to bring on the firearms and ammunition together with their firearms license (both original and copy documents) by law, and they must fill out the document to carry firearms with the airline and remove ammo at the point. 3. Explosives and Flammable Materials

Explosives and flammable objects such as gases, matches, fireworks, and bombs are prohibited as it can cause a problem affecting to other passengers and damages to the airplane, and at the worst case, it will lead to delay flight, injury, or death. 

4. Self-defense Items 

Self-defense items like batons, knives, and pepper spray, are regarded weapons that you must not carry in order to avoid an unexpected discharge. Because self-defense sprays contain more than 2% by mass of tear gas (CS or CN), they can be dangerous to yourself and other passengers as well.

5. Liquids in containers over 100 ml

All liquids in containers larger than 100 ml are prohibited; nonetheless, liquids such as gel, spray, lotion, perfume, form are allowable liquid items airplane as mentioned capacity. 6. Power Bank

Hazardous Materials in Checked Luggage

1. Batteries (e.g., lithium batteries)

2. Aerosols

3. Chemicals and Hazardous Substances

4. Radioactive Materials

5. Perishable Items 

Perishable items like dry ice or gel food items are not allowed below the plane, but meat, seafood and other non-liquid food items are permitted in both carry-on but not in checked bags. It is just for carry-on baggage.

Security Screening and Inspection
