An emergency, an unexpected and difficult or dangerous situation, can happen at any time while you’re staying in Thailand. The emergencies can be medical which include the moment one of your family members or friends has injured himself/herself and the bleeding won’t stop, when your father is having an asthma attack, the moment you yourself collapse, and when you got bitten by a dog.
You might also find yourself get into other type of emergencies. For example, the whole Bangkok floods because of extremely heavy rain, your accommodation has been badly damaged in fire, your friend was robbed at gunpoint at an intersection, or your bank account was hacked.
No curse intended but you’re reminded that an emergency is a kind of incidents that take place without us being able to control or anticipate them. If any of the above cases happen to you, not knowing the right phone number might ruin your whole vacation.
So, before you come to Thailand or once you’ve arrived in this country, make sure you always carry with you or save on your mobile a list of numbers in case of emergency. You might find it useful later. Below are some of the numbers you might need.

What’s also important is you have to make sure you aren’t out of credit in order to make a call when an emergency occurs. So, always top up your phone. But if you’re out of credit, the only way is to ask some people nearby to help you.
